Darin Forkenbrock

Darin Forkenbrock is Founder and Managing Director of Start-Up Ventures. His entrepreneurial experience includes working for a $110M venture capital firm in Southern California, where he was solely responsible for supporting the firm's four Partners. His duties with the firm included reviewing nearly 1,000 investment opportunities, meeting with entrepreneurs, performing research and due diligence and leading much of the firm's Business Development activity throughout Southern California.

In addition, Darin has worked on the operating side with dozens of start-ups, in a broad range of industries, as an employee, consultant and advisor. His activities with early-stage ventures regularly include: conducting market research, developing financial models, managing operations, arranging strategic alliances, interacting with professional service providers, writing business plans and delivering investment presentations.

Darin has earned a Master of Business Administration degree in Entrepreneurship from the University of Texas in Austin and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Washington in Seattle.
